About Warriors Krav Maga

Here is a 30, 000 feet view of the site so you can learn about us. We are the headquarters of Warriors Krav Maga. If you live in the Lake Norman area, you can now train with us in Israel’s military tactical defensive system. There are a lot of different Krav Maga organizations, so what sets us apart? We believe we can prove that we’re the most complete Krav Maga organization in the US. What do we mean by that? Not only do we teach you the techniques of Krav Maga, but we incorporate two bonus concepts because they’re critical.

1. You’ll reduce your risk of ever going to prison or being charged with assault for misuse of what we teach you. That’s because you’ll learn the legal ramifications of what you learn with us. There is an infamous but true story of a kid who learned how to fight with a knife but wasn’t taught the legal ramifications of such techniques. He got into a fight with a bouncer in NY, stabbed him to death, and is now in prison for life. Had his instructor(s) done their due diligence, he’d probably be enjoying himself on the outside.
2. To begin with, you’ll learn how to reduce the likelihood of ever getting in an altercation by learning what we call “soft skills” What are they? The bulk of self-defense. Read below for more information.

S.I.V.A.

S.I.V.A. is an acronym standing for Selection, Isolation, Verbal, and Attack. All crime begins with the selection of a victim (or car or house etc.). If you can learn how criminals pick their victims and learn how to avoid being chosen, that’s a soft skill. Isolation comes next. Criminals don’t like witnesses, so they wait on the periphery of crowds, and once they’ve selected their target, they follow them. Once they’re away from the safety of numbers, that is when they’ll take the next step in the process. Now the intended victim is put off guard by something that’s said, i.e., Verbal. A classic is to ask you the time so you take your eyes off them to look at your watch or phone. Now you’ve been selected, isolated, distracted, and are ripe for the plucking.

Soft Skills

Our soft skills training teaches you to avoid being selected, as well as situational awareness skills to recognize an impending attack. You’ll also study verbal de-escalation as used by hostage negotiators and the recognition of pre-fight attack cues. We submit that if you can master those, you’ll probably never need to use your hard skills. Isn’t that the best way to win a fight? Sun Tzu thought so.

On top of that, you’ll learn basic first aid, dealing with the law after an altercation, active shooter defense, anti-carjacking, and more. That’s the difference between learning how to fight and learning self-defense. Now you see why we claim to be the most complete form of Krav Maga in the world, and it’s what people like about us. We utilize the avoidance and awareness skills of the bodyguard to reduce the risk of having to fight.

Instructors

Our instructors go through our in-house training program. Other organizations seem to think you can learn to teach by practicing techniques for four days until you drop from exhaustion. Using performance psychology and NLP, we teach public speaking skills, how to work a room, adult education, and motivation. In fact, one NC school teacher who went through the instructor’s program said he learned more in his first weekend than he did in 4 years getting his teaching degree!
That means you’ll get instruction that will get you results fast, tailored to your unique learning style.

Moral, Ethical Obligation

We have an ethical and moral obligation to teach self-defense. We aren’t in it for the money like so many schools seem to be, and that’s another huge difference between us. Every year we do fundraisers for battered women shelters, Hope House, and organizations that exist to shut down human trafficking. We also believe that if everyone learned our system in our community, we wouldn’t have a significantly violent crime rate.

No Kids

There is a horrible trend in martial arts whereby someone figured out the target market is 8-year-old boys. They lock the parents in scary long contracts, they nickel and dime them to death, and they turn into daycare centers with after-school programs cleverly disguised as martial arts training.

You need to check us out if you’ve been put off by that. We’re an adult (15 years old and up) only learning facility designed for professionals by professionals. Our Chief Instructor has spent his life dealing with non-consensual violence and is one of the very, very few instructors of this military art who’s actually served in the military.
